How to Draw an Owl
Owls are so cute to draw — start with a round body, add two ear tufts, big round eyes, a little beak, and wings! Follow these 5 easy steps and you can draw an owl all by yourself.
Get ready — what you need
Just a pencil, a sheet of paper, and some crayons or colored pencils. That's it!
💡 Tip: Take your time and have fun. Every drawing is special!
Draw a round body

In the middle of your paper, draw a big rounded shape like a fat egg. An owl's head and body are one round shape put together.
💡 Tip: One round shape is all you need to start an owl!
Add two ear tufts

On top of the body, draw two little pointy tufts, one on each side — like two small triangles. These are the owl's ear feathers.
💡 Tip: Little pointy tufts make the owl look wide awake!
Draw the big eyes and beak

Draw two big circles for the eyes, close together. Put a smaller circle with a dot inside each. Then draw a little triangle beak pointing down between them. Hoo hoo!
💡 Tip: Big round eyes are what make owls look so wise!
Add wings and feet

Draw a curved wing on each side of the body, like two big soft leaves. Add a line of little 'U' feathers on the tummy, and two little feet at the bottom.
💡 Tip: Little 'U' shapes make fluffy tummy feathers!
Color your owl!

Color your owl warm brown, with a lighter tummy and a yellow-orange beak. Leave the eyes white so they look big and bright. You made an owl!
💡 Tip: Big white eyes make your owl look wide awake! 🦉
