How to Draw a Raccoon
Raccoons are so fun to draw — start with a round head, add two ears, a cute mask around the eyes, and a fluffy striped tail! Follow these 5 easy steps and you can draw a raccoon all by yourself.
Get ready — what you need
Just a pencil, a sheet of paper, and some crayons or colored pencils. That's it!
💡 Tip: Take your time and have fun. Every drawing is special!
Draw a round head

In the upper middle of your paper, draw a round head that is a little pointy at the bottom for the nose — like a wide teardrop.
💡 Tip: A pointy chin makes it look like a real raccoon snout!
Add two ears

On top of the head, draw two rounded triangle ears, one on each side. Raccoon ears are small and a bit rounded at the tips.
💡 Tip: Round the tips a little so the ears look soft!
Draw the mask face

Draw two big oval patches around where the eyes go — that's the raccoon's mask! Put a round eye with a dot in each patch, then a little round nose and a smile.
💡 Tip: The mask around the eyes is what makes a raccoon a raccoon!
Add a body and striped tail

Under the head, draw a rounded body. Add two little front paws, then a big fluffy tail curving out to the side with a few lines across it for stripes.
💡 Tip: A striped tail is the raccoon's most famous feature!
Color your raccoon!

Color your raccoon gray, with a dark gray or black mask and dark rings on the tail. Leave the snout light. You made a raccoon!
💡 Tip: Dark mask + light snout = a perfect raccoon face! 🦝
