How to Draw a Fish
Drawing a fish is super easy — it starts with a shape like a lemon, then a fun tail and a big happy eye! Follow these 5 simple steps and you can draw a fish all by yourself.
Get ready — what you need
Just a pencil, a sheet of paper, and some crayons or colored pencils. That's it!
💡 Tip: Take your time and have fun. Every drawing is special!
Draw a lemon-shaped body

In the middle of your paper, draw a shape like a lemon lying down — pointy on both ends and fat in the middle. This is the fish's body.
💡 Tip: Keep both ends pointy — the tail and mouth will fit there!
Add a bow-tie tail

On the pointy right end, draw a tail shaped like a bow or a sideways letter V. It is wide at the far end and pinches in where it meets the body.
💡 Tip: The tail helps the fish swish through the water!
Add a face

Near the left end, draw a curved line from top to bottom for the head. Then draw a circle for the eye with a dot inside, and a little smiling mouth.
💡 Tip: A big round eye makes your fish look friendly and happy.
Add fins and scales

Draw a little bump on top and one on the bottom for the fins. Then fill the body with a few curved lines like tiny smiles — those are the scales.
💡 Tip: Just a few scales is enough to make it look shiny!
Color your fish!

Color the body bright orange and the fins and tail sunny yellow. Add some blue water all around so your fish has a place to swim. All done!
💡 Tip: Pick any colors you love — it's your fish! 🐟
