How to Draw a Turtle
Drawing a turtle is super easy — it's just a big round shell, a friendly head, and four little legs! Follow these 5 simple steps and you can draw a turtle all by yourself.
Get ready — what you need
Just a pencil, a sheet of paper, and some crayons or colored pencils. That's it!
💡 Tip: Take your time and have fun. Every drawing is special!
Draw a round shell

In the middle of your paper, draw a big oval shape — a little taller than it is wide. This is the turtle's shell.
💡 Tip: It's like an egg lying down. Nice and round!
Add a head and legs

Draw a round head at the top. Then draw four little legs — like small ovals — poking out from the four corners of the shell, and a tiny tail at the bottom.
💡 Tip: The legs are just little ovals. Four of them!
Add shell patterns

Draw a six-sided shape (a hexagon) in the middle of the shell. Then draw a few lines from it out to the edge, like slices of a pie.
💡 Tip: Turtle shells have pretty patterns like puzzle pieces.
Add a happy face

On the head, draw two little dots for eyes and a curved line for a big smile. Your turtle is happy to meet you!
💡 Tip: Two dots and a smile — that's all a happy face needs!
Color your turtle!

Color the shell green with a darker green pattern, and the head and legs a lighter green. All done — you drew a turtle!
💡 Tip: Green is classic, but your turtle can be any color! 🐢
