How to Draw a Puppy
This puppy has the happiest little face! Draw the round head with two floppy ears, two shiny eyes, a nose and muzzle, and a big smile with a tongue sticking out — then color it in. Follow these 5 easy steps and you can draw a puppy all by yourself.
Get ready — what you need
Just a pencil, a sheet of paper, and some crayons or colored pencils. That's it!

Draw the head and ears
In the middle of your paper, draw one big rounded shape for the dog's head, with two floppy ears hanging down on each side. It looks a bit like a wide bell.
💡 Tip: Floppy ears make it look like a friendly puppy!
Add two eyes
In the upper middle of the face, draw two small round eyes, one on each side. Keep them close together and near the top.
💡 Tip: Two little dots for eyes make the puppy look sweet!
Draw the nose and muzzle
In the middle of the face, draw a rounded muzzle (the puffy cheeks), a little nose at the top of it, and a short line going down from the nose.
💡 Tip: The muzzle is the round part where the nose and mouth go!
Add the mouth and tongue
Under the nose, draw a big happy smile with a little tongue sticking out. Add a soft curve on each side of the face for the cheeks. So cute!
💡 Tip: A tongue sticking out makes your puppy look super happy!
Color your puppy!
Color the face and ears a warm golden orange. Make the mouth dark, the tongue pink-red, and the eyes black and shiny. Your happy puppy is done!
💡 Tip: Dogs come in many colors — brown, black, white or golden! 🐶
